LOPEZ -- ELVIRA CONTRERAS Age 82, died September 29, 2011. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Guadalupe; daughter, Diana Lopez of Rio Rancho; her son, Jim Lopez and wife, Linda of Bosque Farms; siblings, Victor Contreras and wife, Pauline of Muleshoe, TX, Maria Ramos of Mundy, TX, Elena Gomez and husband, Johnny of Amarillo, TX, Janie Lopez of Plainview, TX, David Contreras of Palmetto, FL, Dolores Zapata and husband, Samuel of Hale Center, TX and Ralph Contreras and wife, Nora of Lubbock, TX; and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mrs. Lopez was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Delfina Contreras; two daughters, Elvira and Joann and her brother, Manuel Contreras Jr. A member of the Assembly of God Church, Elvira and Lupe met and married in 1951 in Mundy, Texas. Services will be Sunday, October 2, 2011, 6:30 pm, at Harvest Fellowship Church, 5331 Montano Rd NW. A graveside service will be Monday, 10:00 a.m., October 3, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd NE. Friends may visit at the church, Sunday, 6:00 p.m. until time of service.
