CERAMI -- SALVATORE R. Age 87, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011. He was born July 1, 1924 to Leo and Marietta Cerami in Petralia Soprana, Sicily. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary. Salvatore is survived by his children, Lenny, Joe, Sal and Marie; grandchildren, Lenny and wife, Renee, Frankie, Adriana and husband, Massimiliano, Jeanette and Erica; great-grandchildren, Silas, Antonio and Giana; nephews, Joe and Chuck Assicurato. Salvatore moved to Manhattan, NY at the age of 12 with his mother, Marietta to join his father, Leo. He lived and worked in New York until he moved to Rio Rancho in 1974. Deli Mart, Italian foods was started by him in 1978 where he worked until his retirement. Visitation for Mr. Cerami will take place Wednesday, September 21, 2011, from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 22, 2011, at 10:30 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho. Entombment will take place at Vista Verde Memorial Park following mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Salvatore's honor to the hospice of your choice.
