HUTCHINS -- VIRGINIA LOUISE "GINA" Age 85, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM passed away September 3, 2011 with her daughter by her side. She was a beloved mother, aunt, sister-in-law, friend, golfing buddy and bridge partner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Burnie Hutchins; her brother, Billy Johnson; her sister, Alice Geraldine Johnson; and her parents, William and Flossie Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Geraldine "Geri" Hutchins; sisters-in-law, Betty Jo DeAnda, Pat Whilden, and Theola Johnson; brother-in-law, Robert Wade Hutchins; nephews, William Blakey Johnson, James Michael Johnson, Nicholas Kimber Johnson, and Robert Andrew Johnson. Gina was born on November 2, 1925. She graduated from Texas State College for Women and served her country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Virginia retired from the Carlsbad Public Schools as the Director of Food Services. She was beloved by all that knew her. Cremation is taking place. A memorial service will be held at the Meadowlark Senior Center, 4330 Meadowlark Lane Southeast, Rio Rancho, NM on Sunday September 25 at 1:30 pm.
