VALDEZ -- BERTA A. Age 82, born April 13, 1929 in Guatemala, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2011. Berta was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Valdez. She is survived by her children; Luis Alberto Figueroa Alvarez, Hugo Enrique Figueroa Alvarez, Ricardo Vinicio Figueroa Alvarez, and Vitalio Valdez; and family and friends who love and will miss her. Services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, 301 Camino del Pueblo, Bernalillo, on Friday, July 22, 2011. The viewing will begin at 9:30 am. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:30 am. Burial will then take place at Bernalillo Cemetery.
