CHAVEZ -- MELITA G. Age 89, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away Monday July 18, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Jim C. Chavez; her son, Jim Chavez Jr.; her grandson, Vincent Chavez. She is survived by her daughter, Juanita Chavez, and husband, Valentin; son, Richard Chavez; daughter, Triney Cano, and husband, Jeff; six grandchildren; great-grandchild; one great-great-grandson; two sisters and one brother. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their loving care. Special thanks to Manuela and Evelyn. Those who wish to express their condolences may do so Wednesday July 20, 2011, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Interment will be on Thursday, July 21, 2011, at 10:30 am at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
