DEWERD -- DIANNE RUTH Age 77, died peacefully on June 2. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Irene Greer. Dianne was born in Waseca, Minnesota, and passed in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she had moved with her husband in November 2010. She is survived by her husband, Thomas DeWerd, her son, John, and her daughter, Julie and family (partner Jenny and son Levi). Dianne attended St. Mary's Hospital for nurses training in Minneapolis-St. Paul, which is affiliated with St. Catherines University. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, courage, and good humor. Dianne loved her family, church community, friends, and flower gardens. A funeral service will take place Monday, June 6, at 6:00 p.m., at St. Jude's in Albuquerque. A private reception will follow.
