EVANS -- Judy A. Evans, 68, passed away at her home on May 11, 2011. Judy was someone who would listen and not criticize, and who would provide unique insight and wisdom. She had a quiet and unique sense of humor that would catch you off guard. Judy was born 11-30-42 in Durant, OK. She moved to Las Cruces, NM with her family in 1958 when her parents Rudy and Lucille Armstrong opened their Goodyear/GE tire and appliance store. She graduated from Las Cruces High in 1960. She attended NMSU and was the Las Cruces Sun Princess representative during 1960 Sun Bowl. Judy married Sidney, her high school sweetheart on November 19th, 1961. Judy and her family moved to Albuquerque in 1972. Judy was Sid's helpmate for their insurance and financial planning business throughout their marriage. Judy is survived by Sid and their two sons Scott (46) a CPA who resides in Scottsdale AZ who has three grade school age children; and Mark (43) a pilot (Captain) for UPS who resides in Louisville, KY. Judy is also survived by her two brothers Robert Armstrong and his wife Carol, and Mike Armstrong and his wife Tammy. She was also close to her brother and sister-in-law Robert and Janice Burrows. She will be greatly missed. A memorial service celebrating Judy's life will be held at Bob and Jan Burrow's home in Albuquerque on June the 4th at 2:00 PM.
