YOST -- Thelma Barbre Yost (Toby), 96, resident of Lakewood, CO since 2005, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at the Littleton Care and Rehabilitation Center. Born on a ranch near Cascade, MT, Toby grew strong in family values, marrying Luther Yost in 1937 in L.A., Calif. For 35 years Toby and Luther Yost lived throughout the US (and Sweden and France) enjoying successful years with GE. Retiring in 1973 in Albuquerque, NM they owned and managed Thunderbird Travel from 1974 to 1981, loving a great life chapter of business, friendship and travel. They were married for nearly 64 years before Luther's passing August 10, 2001. Toby was secretary of Skal International Travel Society and the first woman in the US to be a member of ASTA (American Society of Travel Agents). She is survived by a son and two daughters; John Yost of Albuquerque, NM, Carolyn Clarke of Lakewood, CO, and Jean Stefano of Parker, CO; four grandchildren include Susan Coveyduck, Scott Coveyduck, Jennifer Meaden and David Stefano; 12 great-grandchildren include three sets of twins. Toby requested no memorial service, but memorial gifts are welcome and should be directed to the Children's Crisis Center of the All Faith's Receiving Home.
