ROMERO -- Cleto 1935-2011 Cleto Romero, 76, a resident of Belen, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2011. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. If Cleto could not be found--we would check the casino, where he loved to go. For the past five years he was being cared for by his niece Ida, who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents Prospero and Lenore Romero, his brothers Jean, David and Frankie Romero, his brother in law Alfredo Sanchez, and his sister in law Dolores Romero. Cleto is survived by his siblings Bennie Sanchez of Belen, Lou Gonzalez and her husband Marcos from Socorro, Gabriel Romero and his wife Dolly of Albuquerque, Sylvia Mascarena and her husband Leroy from Albuquerque; his sister-in-law Shiela Romero of Belen; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. All services will take place at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Viewing will begin at 6:00 pm Friday, May 13th, with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning, May 14th at 10:00am with Father Bijoy Francis officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
