VLAHOS -- Dimitri "Deets" Vlahos, 51, of Santa Fe, NM passed away from lung disease on January 4, 2011. He was a foreman with Yucca Construction until retirement after 29 years. A voracious reader with expert knowledge of military history, he loved animals, the outdoors, hiking, and fishing. Soft-spoken, kind-hearted and generous, he was loved by all who knew him. Deets was preceeded in death by his father, George Vlahos of Albuquerque, NM; and his brother, Andrew Vlahos of Ashland, OR. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Vlahos; and four sisters, Andrea Klemmer, Tamar Vlahos, Eda Vlahos, and Elena Meyer, all of Oregon.
