HERRERA -- Sadie Herrera 85, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011 after a short illness. Sadie is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gilbert; children, Rick Herrera, Steve (Jennifer) Herrera, Tina (Mark) Bradley, Lydia (Paul) Matthews, Belinda (Henri) Termeer; grandchildren, Michael, Julie, Marcus, Shayla, Jacob, Derek and Adriana; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe (Vita) Herrera, Miguel Herrera; sisters, Maria (George "Red") Jaramillo and Gina Pineda; and numerous relatives and friends. Sadie was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Genoveva Herrera; daughter, Mela Martin; brothers, Ezequiel, Marcus, Andres and Albert "Sonny"; and sisters, Cipri Garcia and Isabelle Baca. Sadie loved cooking, music, gardening and traveling, but above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Sadie will be deeply missed by all her family and friends whom she touched. Pallbearers are Rick Herrera, Steve Herrera, Marcus Herrera, Ron Jaramillo, James Herrera and Joseph Baca. Honorary Pallbearers are Michael Martin, Julie Reinaur, Shayla Matthews, Derek Matthews and Adriana Termeer. Rosary will be recited Sunday, April 24, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at French - Wyoming Chapel. Friends may visit beginning at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, 87110. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in Sadie's memory to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
