GARCIA -- Jacqueline "Jackie" J. Garcia (80) passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at her daughter's home after a three year fight with breast cancer. Jackie is survived by her three children; Margaret Selmier (Kevin), Arthur Johnson, Jr. and Wesley Johnson (Judy). She was a step-mother to; Jose Garcia, Jr. (Shirley), Cristobal Garcia (Patsy), and Dolores Burkhalter (Bob). Jackie also leaves behind two brothers; David Tappy (Janet) and Donald Tappy (Betsy). She was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother to many loving grandchildren. Jackie was preceded in death by her husband Jose Garcia, Sr., her parents Clarence Tappy and Ruth Tappy Bauer; her bother Richard Tappy; sisters Clomeda Hutto and Josephine Wilson. She was dearly loved by her family and will be greatly missed. A funeral service for Jackie will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at French - University. Friends may visit beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest along side her husband. Pallbearers will be: Arthur Johnson, Jr., Wesley Johnson, Kevin Selmier, Morris Gutierrez, Nash Aragon and Richard Rojo. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made in Jackie's memory to Hancock Regional Hospice, 801 N.
