PAYNE -- Beatrice Gay Payne, 98, died on Tuesday March 8, 2011. Mrs. Payne was preceded in death by her husband, Walker W. Payne. She is survived by her sons, Jim Payne (Mariya), and Carney Owen (Jean); daughters, Barbara Payne (Clyde), and Frances Hursey (John); brother Ralph Gay; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great- great-grandchildren. She was an active member of TOPS for 45 years and with the Salvation Army Home League. A Memorial Service will be Friday March 11 at 4:00 p.m. in the Reflection of Life Chapel (Washington and Cutler NE). Internment will take place at Williamsburg Memorial Park, Williamsburg, VA on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
