MAESTAS -- Leonard Maestas, 68, of La Jara, NM, passed away on March 8, 2011. Mr. Maestas is survived by is children, Duane Maestas, Brian Maestas and wife Monica, and Deidre Salaz and husband, Brian; his sisters, Alvira and husband, James, Alda and husband, Jesus, Velma and husband, Zebedeo, Viola and husband, Mike, Gloria and husband, Dan, Natalia, Theresa, Dolores and husband, David, Rita, and Debra and husband, Rick; his brothers, Jimmy, Eloy Jr., and Julian; four grandchildren, Briann, Brian Jr., Ian and Emil. Mr. Maestas was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah; parents, Eloy and Quiterita; and three brothers. Visitation will be Friday, March 11, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Church in Cuba, NM from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. by Los Hermanos. Final visitation will be Saturday, at the Church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the La Jara Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Milton Maestas, Ubaldo Maestas, Eloy Maestas Jr., Manuel Blea Jr., Eustacio Chavez, and Archie Jacquez.
