HINDI -- Jesus (Susie) Garde Marcilla died peacefully January 26, 2011. She was born to parents Emilia Anaut Marcilla and Maruricio Echandi Garde on October 13, 1921 in Vaughn, NM. She graduated NMSU and enjoyed a career as a country agent until marriage in 1945. She was a dedicated, self sacrificing, caring mother of seven. Susie was a tireless mother and aunt. She always had a flock of kids around. It was fortunate that she was a prolific and skilled cook. When Anna was in 4th, Susie began teaching in Vaughn and retired in 1979. Jesus, Susie, Sally, Jesusa, Jesusa, Jesusita, Mama, Mom, Mrs. Hindi, Grandma, Grandma Hindi was a very good daughter, sister, wife, mother, singer, prayer, relative and friend. She was hardworking, strong, loyal, talented, kind, caring, happy, fun and beautiful. Susie was preceded by parents; daughter Rozanne; brothers, Mauricio Jr., Alfonso; sisters, Mariana, Inez Alvarez, Emilia Garcia. She is survived by husband Brahaim; children, Helen (Isidor) Manzanares, Samia, Brahaim Jr., Kathy Rodriguez, Jamil and Anna; grandchildren, Ed (Lena) and Danny M., Stephanie, Erik and Jason R.; bis nietos, Mac, Mari, and Miles M.; sister Helen Lewis; brother Ray Garde; extended family and friends. Susie believed in God. She truly lived a Christian life. The family is bless Mom has been rid of earthly restrictions. They appreciate and are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from family, friends, and caregiver Carmen.
