WOOD -- Carol Jeanne Wood, 70 a resident of Albuquerque born July 2, 1940 died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 19, 2011. She is survived by her husband, Paul Wood of Albuquerque; and children, Chuck Smrt of Albuquerque, Jim Smrt of Reno, and Dina Bell of Dallas and their spouses; her step-children, Sandy Beck of Albuquerque and her spouse, D'Auna Wood and D'Nette Wood of Albuquerque; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; Her brother, Jim Johnson of Albuquerque and his spouse; a niece, of Arizona; and a nephew, of California; many friends; and her beloved dogs Mandy and Misty. She was an active member of the Albuquerque Country Club and the 2010 Golf Club Champion of A.C.C and Rainmaker Country Club in Ruidoso. She enjoyed playing many card games with her friends and family and was a true child of God steadfast in her faith. Services will be held Monday, January 24, 2011, 2:00 p.m., at Sagebrush Community Church, 6440 Coors Blvd. NW, Albuquerque.
