FROST -- Bonnie Gay Frost, age 69, died on January 22, 2011 after an extended illness. She and her twin sister Connie were born on July 31, 1941 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. They were the last of 13 children born to Fred and Zella Duke of San Jon. She started dating and eventually married Stanley Frost at the end of her junior year in high school. She graduated from Robertson High School in Las Vegas, New Mexico and soon began a family. She is survived by her children: Warren Frost and wife Angie, Wade Frost and wife Jana, and Teresa Salazar and husband Gary, 10 grandchildren: Jeremy, Megan, Kaitlin, Truitt, Hayes, Steven, Chanda, Carrie, Shannon, and Stacie, seven great-grandchildren, and by four brothers and three sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Stanley F. Frost, her parents, and three brothers and two sisters. Although Bonnie worked at several jobs during her life from bank teller to Jazzercise instructor, her main focus was her lifelong role as an amazing grandmother, mother, and wife. She was one of the best cooks in Quay County and had a reputation of saying what was on her mind. She was notorious for coming up with unusual projects or destinations for her family and friends. Regardless of the situation, everyone knew that if they were with Bonnie there would never be a dull moment. Funeral services will be held at the Center Street United Methodist Church, 406 East Center, Tucumcari, New Mexico on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow immediately thereafter at the San Jon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions may be made in Bonnies memory to Helping Hands Hospice, 624 S Second Street, Tucumcari, New Mexico 88401.
