WILKIRSON -- Martell Wilkirson, 84, died Wednesday, September 15, 2010. Martell was born in Kokomo, Indiana on November 30, 1925. She moved to Albuquerque in 1950. Martell was predeceased by her son, Pete Wilkirson; her sisters, Enaz Hoppes and Mimi Heitzman; and her parents, Pete and Viola Lambert. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, William B. Wilkirson; son, Adam Wilkirson and his wife Tina; daughter, Karen Wilkirson and her partner, Cathy Sierra; sister, Eulalia Taffe; grandchildren, Ryan Wilkirson, Jacob Wilkirson, Casey Guilfoyle, and Mimi Sierra-Wilkirson; many nieces and nephews; and her loving caregivers, Janelle, Rianna, and Vicky. Martell loved to travel, golf, and play cards. She was generous, thoughtful, fun-loving, and devoted to her family. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 20, 2010, 5:00 p.m., at the Cathedral Church of St. John, 318 Silver Ave SW.
