HARDEK -- Luann Dorothy Russell Hardek - longtime resident of Sierra Los Pinos, left planet earth on August 4th, 2010 to reunite with past family and friends on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Luann was born in Galveston, Texas on October 31, 1938. She was an avid member of "TWA Clipped Wings" having retired from the airline in 1988. While working for TWA she met many well known celebrities including the Beatles on their world famous first flight to the USA. Luann was a volunteer first responder with the LaCueva fire and rescue for some years. She had a variety of interests including music, animals, metaphysics, astrology and astronomy. Luann held a purple belt in Dragonfire Kenpo Karate. She was also a licensed FCC ham radio operator. She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy and father William and is survived by her step-mother Jane Russell of Monroe, Louisiana. Her cremains will be interred in Cleburne, Texas at the family plot at a later date not yet specified. A huge thank you to all of her caregivers for their kindness and caring during Luann's last days. She appreciated all of you very much as do I. I could not have cared for Luann without your help.
