BENAVIDEZ -- Ray Benavidez, 43, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on September 1, 2010. Ray is survived by his daughter, Jessica Ojeda and husband, Ricardo; his parents, Joe C. and Novie Benavidez; his sister, Cecilia Lujan and husband, Rudy; brothers, Joe Larry Benavidez, and Duane Benavidez and wife, Michelle; his grandchildren, Isaiah, Zena, and Zoe; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ray was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Benavidez; and his nephew, Mario Benavidez. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Wednesday morning in the Church from 8:30 a.m., until 9:00 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricardo Ojeda, Christopher Lujan, Antonio Lujan, Pablo Lujan, Edward Sierra, and Joseph Benavidez; Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Saiz, and Nicholas Lujan.
