SEARS -- Jack Ramon Sears - "Half Breed", 67, passed away surrounded by his family at home Friday July 30, 2010. Jack was born March 14, 1943 in Idaho Falls, Idaho and raised in Lincoln. After high school Jack joined the U.S. Navy until he was injured and moved to Albuquerque. He worked with his father in the painting industry, which he retired from in 2003. During this time he met Josephine (JoAnne) Herrera and the two married on July 25, 1964. They lived their life together creating many memories including the time they traveled to 19 states in 17 days on motorcycle. They were also blessed with two daughters: Jacqueline Anne and Loretta Jean. Jack enjoyed listening to Country music, The Beatles, Herb Albert, and creating his own tunes on his harmonica. He enjoyed eating a nice greasy hamburger or Navajo taco and watching a good boxing match. One of his greatest joys in life was traveling, taking his grandchildren to Disneyland and riding all the rides and going to Las Vegas and Laughlin. When he wanted to get away and relax he would go hunting, fishing and camping. Jack was a member of many clubs, and societies: American Legion, GWRRA Chapter C, Mountain Man Association, DAV and was President of the Big Horn Gun Club. He was a simple caring man who would take in strangers if they needed help and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was the mediator of the family, always willing to listen.
