RAFF -- Theodore L. Raff (LtCol., USAF, ret.), 76, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on August 5, 2010, peacefully with his family around him. After completing High School, at the age of 16, in Los Lunas, NM he continued his education, receiving his BS in Architectural Engineering from UNM in 1955, a MS in Civil Engineering from Newark College of Engineering in 1965, a MS in Systems Management from the University of Southern CA in 1973, and a Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University in 1978. He served his Country proudly in the United States Air Force fro 22 years, earning several commendations including the Bronze Star. His many stories of his military service included working at the Pentagon and the people he met through the years. Upon his retirement he returned home to Los Lunas, where he resided until his untimely death. Ted worked as a Deputy District Attorney for Bernalillo County and in private practice in Los Lunas. Ted's love for the law, his dedication to his clients and never ending search for justice reflected his work ethics and character. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Ted Sr.and Mela Christina ; his daughter, Carly; and his son-in-law, Ricardo Sena. He is survived by loving wife of twenty six years, Helen; his daughter, Lori; his son, Ted; his grandson who he raised as a son, Christopher and wife, Holly; stepdaughters, Laura Gutierrez and husband, Eli, Antoninette Otero-Serna; twelve grandchildren, Natalie, Amanda, Paul, Nathan, Gabriel, Rebecca, Samantha Lee, Grace, Erica, Ella, Miranda, and Maria; great-grandchildren, Eden, Benjamin, and Elisha who will be born in September; brothers, Ronald, Edward,and wife, Cara, Fred and wife, Velia; sister, Jean Richards; aunts, Doris Johnson and Donna Martinez; uncle Polo and wife, Beverly; father and mother-in-law, Vincent and Inez Otero. He is also survived by an extended family and friends. Visitation will be 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 9, 2010 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a 7:00 p.m. Memorial Service. Final visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at San Clemente Catholic Church, 244 Luna Ave. Los Lunas, NM., with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Father Bill, presider. A Committal Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christopher Raff, Ronald Raff, Edward Raff, Natalie Raff, Nathan Castillo and Gabriel Gutierrez.
