WINEGARDNER -- Chris J. Winegardner, 50, beloved partner, son, brother and friend passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, July 13. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa, received his nursing degree in Oregon and moved to Albuquerque in 2002. He was employed at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque for more than eight years, recently working in the cardiac unit. He loved life and had a great ability to make people laugh. His presence as a nurse has greatly influenced the nursing staff and he will be dearly missed. He is survived by his partner Roberto Melo Guimaraes; mother, Patricia Winegardner and father, John (deceased) of Coos Bay, Oregon; Becky (sister) and Jeff Bytof of San Diego, Jill (sister) and Don Atwater of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Cyndi (sister) Gasner of San Ysabel, California; brother Michael of Des Moines, Iowa; and seven nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at his residence, 4612 Marquette Ave NE from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 18, 2010.
