STOCKTON -- Francis Clarence Stockton (Frank), age 65, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2010. He was a member of Destiny Church. Frank was a native to New Mexico and took pride in calling Albuquerque home. He and his wife of 37 years, Sandra lived in Cedar Crest where they enjoyed the beauty of the mountains, their wonderful garden and the sound of a large rock waterfall, which Frank built by hand. Frank had many talents and was considered an expansive, visionary optimist. During his life time, his pursuits ranged from sports, to business ventures, to an ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ. Frank was best known for being extremely artistic and recognized internationally as a world class hair stylist and salon owner. Frank successfully owned and operated eight salons in the Albuquerque area over the years having built his first beauty salon on Central Avenue called The Stockton Look. Frank was a fearless entrepreneur, whose many ventures included selling real estate, building and operating the Old Town Market Place where he sold Indian Jewelry, roasted chili sales throughout the Southwest and Colorado, selling sea shell, coral and turquoise around the State on various reservations, and the distribution of hair products. Not only was Frank a well-known hair designer, Frank was also a wonderful artist having created more than 30 pieces of artwork done with pastels. Frank enjoyed working with his hands to create magnificent adobe structures. He could turn an ordinary space into something spectacular like his most recent couture salon for custom design, Stockton Hair Artist's on Montgomery Boulevard. Frank's most significant achievement was coming to know God thirty years ago. He considered himself a messenger of Jesus Christ from that day on and strived to be a brave representative of Christ engaging in missionary work in Mexico, New Guinea, and Africa. Frank was an open, energetic person who inspired those around him. He was also known by friends and family as a mentor, leader and teacher. He had soft hands, a compassionate heart, a wonderful sense of humor and an appreciation for simple pleasures like the fragrance of a flower or the beautiful colors of a bird. Frank was a loving husband, father and friend who accepted everyone for who they were. Frank loved his family and took pride in each of his five children and shared a special loving relationship and bond with his wife Sandra. The way Frank looked at life was this..."Every day is a gift!" He was preceded in death by Julian Stockton (father), Rose Stockton (mother), Santiago Stockton (brother).
