OLSON -- Thomas A. Olson, December 1945 - May 2010, Resident of St. George, Utah. After a long battle with Parkinson's, Thom passed away at the Red Cliffs Nursing Home in St. George, Utah. Thom was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and graduated from University High School in Kalamazoo, and attended Utah State University, Logan, Utah. Thom was one of four children born to the late Doris Shenstone Olson and Alvin E. Olson. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Marva Jean Olson Earl. He is survived by his children and their spouses: Sarah and Steve Mokan of Erie, Colorado and Christopher S. and Catrice Olson of St Maries, Idaho; three grandchildren Kayline, Lauren and Chandler Olson; sisters, Doral R. Olson, St George, Utah, and Mary Ann Olson Lowe, Logan, Utah. Thom worked in the computer industry for many years in marketing, as a business owner and computer consultant, living in Fair Oaks, California; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Phoenix, Arizona. In his last years of life his computer skills allowed him to communicate and stay in touch with his family and friends. Following his retirement he was very involved with the IceGaiters, a group who were owners and lovers of Icelandic horses. Thom's final generous act was to donate his body for research to the University Of Utah School Of Medicine. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 23, 2010, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
