O'BRIEN -- Wallace Lee O'Brien, age 84, went to be with our Lord Saturday July 10, 2010. He was preceded in death by daughter: Joyce O'Brien Thompson, parents: Ernest and Goldie O'Brien, and daughter-in-law: Sheila O'Brien. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruth Lucile (Kemper) O'Brien, sons: Patrick Lee O'Brien and wife Nancy, and David Louis O'Brien and wife Amanda; and 10 grandchildren. Wallace was a US Navy Veteran who served in the Seabees during WWII from 1944-1946 in the South Pacific. He graduated from Bradley University in 1950. Wallace was employed by North American Aviation as an Aeronautical Engineer, from 1951-1991 and was awarded the Engineer of the Year in 1977. Wallace was as active member of Walteria United Methodist church from 1956-2008, when he moved to Albuquerque to be near his family.
