COFFMAN -- Deane Arnold Coffman, 86, resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, May 14, 2010. She is survived by her children, Phyllis Peterson of Albuquerque, Gaylan Coffman and wife, Elena of Albuquerque, and Debbie Dennis and husband, Mike of Socorro; grandchildren, Jeff Peterson and wife, Beth, Chad Coffman, and Kaycee Landis and husband, Brett; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fayne G. Coffman in 1991. Deane was an adventurous woman. She and Fayne took their family to live in Bolivia and Nigeria. Deane was a diligent and hard working woman. She went to college in her early 40's and obtained her Bachelors and Masters Degrees. She taught English at Manzano High School. She volunteered at the Museum of Natural History for 20 years, was active in the Christian Business Women's Club and the Creation Science Institute. She loved God and his Word and taught her children and grandchildren to do the same. Friends may visit Tuesday, May 18, 2010, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at French~Wyoming Chapel. Services will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2010, 10:30a.m. at French~Wyoming Chapel.
