BARRETT -- William "Carl" Barrett, 45, resident of Rio Rancho, passed away Friday, April 23, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Shawna Barrett; three children, Alyssa and her husband, Kyle, Samantha, and Richard; granddaughter, Evy; parents, Bill and Sandy Barrett, and Jean Harber; brothers, Mike and Ken. He was preceded in death by his son, Will. Carl was in construction from the time he was 16 until 1997 when he became a phlebotomist. He graduated as an RN in 2005. He has worked for Presbyterian Hospital since 1997, and he has worked as a surgical RN since 2007. Nicheside services will take place Saturday, May 22, 2010, at 2:00 p.m., in the Centennial Urn Garden at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
