LAVAIL -- Billie Jean LaVail, 81, passed away suddenly Monday morning, May 10, 2010. She is survived by five nephews, Melvin B. LaVail, Maurice Steele LaVail, Forrest R. LaVail, M. Matt LaVail, and Fred LaVail: her sister-in-law, Betty R. LaVail; seven great nephews and nieces, Adam Amber, Sterling, Marcus, Joelle, Juliette, and Lauren; and her great-great nephew, Gabriel. She was preceded in death by her father, Maurice M. LaVail; her mother Billie Buck LaVail; her brother, Melvin M. LaVail; and her great nephew, Acanaan LaVail. "Jeannie", a native of Mississippi, moved to Albuquerque in 1969, working as a business secretary and bookkeeper. After retiring, she enjoyed conversing, shopping, playing pinochle, and traveling. Miss Jeannie will be deeply missed by her family and her many friends. In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held.
