GONZALES -- Esequiel O. Gonzales, 88, went to be with the Lord May 7, 2010. Esequiel was born in San Jose NM in 1921 and proudly served in the United States Army in the Pacific Theatre in the 305th Infantry Medical Detachment during WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents Adelina and Frank Gonzales; son-in-law Bud Scott; and two granddaughters Bobby Jo and Jennipher. He is survived by his wife of 70 years Eutimia Gonzales; children Esther Scott, Esequiel O. Gonzales Jr. and wife Kathy; Evelyn Lopez and husband Louie, Henry Gonzales and wife Johnna, Alfred Gonzales and wife Carol, Dennis Gonzales and wife Ana, Leroy Gonzales, Patsy Perez and husband James, Darlene Trujeque and husband Andrew "Curly", and Nannette Mitchell and husband Kenny; sisters, Rebecca, Ella, Annie, Henrietta; brothers, Ruben, Frank Jr., Herman, and Andy; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited Monday, May 10, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Peter, Christopher, John, Carlos, Michael, and Omar; Honorary Pallbearers will be Robbie, Andrew, and Blaine.
