She was born in Bisbee, AZ, on May 25, 1945 to Francisco and Virginia Acuna who precede her in death. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, James; two sons, Frank and Eli; granddaughter, Eliya, all of Albuquerque, NM; three brothers, Ishmael, of Bisbee, AZ, Frank of Benson, AZ, and Carlos of Safford, AZ.
