SINEROS -- Helen Lopez Sisneros, age 56, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on April 29, 2010 at her residence in Vaughn following a brief and courageous struggle with ovarian cancer. Helen was born on December 26, 1953 in Vaughn, NM to the home of Rumaldo and Ines (Serrano) Lopez. She was reared and attended schools in Vaughn. Survivors include her husband, Andy of the family home in Vaughn; her daughter, Angela and husband, Lorenzo; grandsons, Lawrence M. Padilla, Jr. and Jonathan V. Padilla; granddaughter, Maria A. Padilla; parents, Rumaldo and Ines Lopez; as well as numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews; Godchildren; and a host of family and friends. Rosary services will be held on Sunday, May 2, at 7:00 PM at St. Mary's Parish in Vaughn. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 3, at 11:00 AM also at St. Mary's Parish with Father Steve Sanchez officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Eddie Villa, Jr., Robert Sisneros, Andy Ryan, J.D. Apodaca, Andrea Maxwell, Toniann Baca, Ricky Sanchez and Adrian Aragon. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be her brother and sisters, Tommy, Tina and Billy, Rosella and Bobby, Jane and Richard, Thelma and Eddie, Nora and Frank, Manny, Ricky and Margie, Cynthia and Louis, Jr., Lisa and Jimmy and Mabel as well as remaining Godchildren. All services for Mrs. Sisneros have been entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
