MALDONADO -- Rita T. Maldonado passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 in Albuquerque at the age of 89. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Mrs. Maldonado was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Gonzales. She is survived by her children, Manuel Gonzales and wife, Deborah, Nancy C De Baca and husband, Pete, Benny Gonzales and wife, Drucilla, and Max Sanchez and wife, Lori; brother, Fred Gonzales; sisters, Mary Chavez and Molly Jones; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and another on the way; and many nieces and nephews. Services for Mrs. Maldonado will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited at 8:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
