WALTON -- William A. (Buddy) Walton III, a resident of Mansfield Texas since 2008, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2010. Buddy is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda Walton; his son, David Walton and his wife Katharine (Katie) Walton of Arlington, TX; his mother, Mary Katherine Walton; and his sister, Kathy Dyer and her children, Julie, Kim, and Wes; brother-in-law Bryan Ingram and his wife Bonnie and their children Kris and Stephen, all of Albuquerque, NM; as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews. His father, William A. (Bill) Walton predeceased him April 10, 2001. Buddy was born April 5, 1953. He was hired as a co-op student at the Philips Laboratory, Kirtland AFB, at the age of 19 while studying Electrical Engineering at the University of New Mexico. He continued as a full time engineer after earning his bachelor degree until his retirement in January 2009. Buddy loved wood-working, playing trivia games, working crossword puzzles, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Funeral services will be held at Blessing Funeral Home, 401 Elm Street, Mansfield TX, 76063 on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to your favorite charity.
