SHEPHERD -- Evelyn M. Shepherd, 84, resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert E. Shepherd; son, Robert E. Shepherd Jr. and wife, Sherri of Tijeras, NM; grandchildren, Brian Shepherd and wife, Emily of Salt Lake City, UT, and Nichole Marie Shepherd and great-granddaughter Alexis Mae Seal of Albuquerque; sister, Marion Woods and husband, Thomas of Clovis, NM; brother, Leo Kelsch and wife Cleora of South Bend, IN. She was preceded in death by son, John Andrew Shepherd in 2003; and granddaughter Jennifer Ann Adkins. Evelyn was married to Robert in 1945 and stood the riggers of being an army wife for 22 years. She was the co-owner of Shepherd Reality and Construction Company Inc. where she maintained the books for 20 years. Evelyn enjoyed her garden, cooking, Indian jewelry, collecting kachina dolls, maintaining her home, and visiting historical sites. She also enjoyed spending the holidays with her family, especially her great granddaughter Alexis. She especially enjoyed watching her favorite soap opera "The Young and the Restless" while sitting in her favorite chair. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, March 1, 2010, 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Josephs Dr. NW.
