KURTZ -- Melvin L. Kurtz, 88, died February 20, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Connie; children Ralph Kurtz and wife Nancy, Sandra Yocum and husband Greg and Greg Kurtz and wife Betty; grandchildren Aaron Ashley-Kurtz and wife Jackie, Sara, Cristina, Matthew and wife Kristi, Alexandrea Kurtz, Terry, Carl, Chris, and Steve Surls; great grandchildren Darron, Kylee, Nick and Emma; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Orvin and Maida Kurtz and siblings Letha, Freda Hilda, Marvin, Cleta and Zella. Mr. Kurtz served in the United States Marines retiring in 1963. He also worked for Ford Motor Company and General Electric retiring in 1980. Melvin was a beloved husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be Thursday, 10:00 am, February 25, 2010 at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE with burial following at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
