HETZEL -- Raymond P. Hetzel, age 92, of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord and his beloved wife, Thursday, February 18, 2010. Raymond was with the Civilian Conservation Corps from 1935 through 1940 and then was a blacksmith for the AT & SF Railroad from 1940 through 1979. He was a longtime member of the Riverside Baptist Church. Raymond was passionate about cooking, gardening, camping and fishing. He is survived by daughters, Loretta Massis and husband, Thomas, Linda Hetzel McGarr and husband, C. Allen, and Jean L. Hetzel Jenkins and husband, Rick; five grandchildren, Mark, Sheryl, Kevin, Rhonda and Ronald and their spouses; and ten great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Monday, February 22, 10:00 a.m., at French - University Chapel, with entombment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
