GALLEGOS -- Manuel J. "Pete" Gallegos, Jr., 78, passed away on February 11, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rita, his three children; Phyllis Adams and husband Donald, Stephen Gallegos, Elaine Candelaria; six grandchildren, Joshua Narcisso, Seth Adams and wife Megan, Stephanie Gromek and husband Matthew, Julie Mulhern and husband Mark, Jessica Gallegos, Daniel Candelaria and wife Ana; three great-grandchildren, Brecon Adams, Lexi and Christian Candelaria; a sister, Della Gallegos; daughter-in-law, June Gallegos Moser; nephew, Robert Garcia and wife Bernadette; several loving sisters and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Pete worked at Sandia National Laboratories for over 34 years before retiring in 1985. He then worked for Babcock EMI of California for five and one half years. A Rosary will be recited for Pete on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Tennessee and Lomas NE, followed by a memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at the church.
