GRIEGO -- Candace Olivia Griego was born in Albuquerque, NM, May 7, 1990 and went home to be with our Lord unexpectedly, Sunday January 31, in the year of our Lord 2010. She was preceded in death by her loving family members: her grandma, Odelia "Lila" Griego; auntie, Grace "Lala" Gutierrez; in-law aunt, Irma Griego and other loved ones. Candace is survived in life by her loving parents, Frieda Martinez and Randy Griego Sr.; her loving brother, Randy Griego Jr., his fiance Shannon Erwin and their son, Orion Griego; her loving cousin, "little-sis" Bianca Odelia Griego; her dear grandfather, George T. Griego; her step-dad, Ted Pedro; many uncles and aunts from both sides of the family and many other wonderful relatives and friends who loved and will miss her. Candace was a very beautiful girl and a loving soul who thought the world of her family and friends. She was very caring to everyone and would always give everything she had to those in need. She would light up a room with her beautiful smile. She was intelligent, wrote beautiful poems and had meaningful plans for the rest of her time on this earth. She had many friends and family members who absolutely thought the world of "KK". She will be deeply missed and will always remain the everlasting light of our family. Candace darling, we love you so very much, and we will always remember the joy and happiness you brought to all of us. We pray and believe you are in heaven now rejoicing with Jesus, all the saints and angels and all our other passed family members and friends before you. Until we meet again in heaven - Hallelujah! May God bless you Candace, and thank you for being in our lives! Amen! Services will be held at Legacy Church, 7201 Central Ave. NW. A Viewing will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. A Celebration of Candace's life will follow at 10:00 a.m. The Services are being arranged by our friend, Mr. Tony Ramirez. Pastor Steve Smothermon will officiate. There will be a reception following the Service, also at Legacy Church.
