REEVES -- Donald Everett Reeves, 88, formerly of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2010 in Mesa, Arizona. He was a Veteran of the US Army, serving in WWII. He was a strong Christian Man who loved the Lord and his Church, Grant Chapel AME (Albuquerque), He loved to travel, fish, tell stories of his life, listen to the golden oldies, cook and be with his family. After he retired from the United States Post Office, he ran an Ice Cream vending truck in Alb., NM. His loving wife of 42 years, Sivlois; children: Lyndsay (Matthew) Donnelly, Rev Crystal (Andre) Harris, Monica Reeves, Gerald (Sabrina) Reeves; grandchildren: Cheryl Reeves, Melvin (Stephanie) Brown, Donald (Veronica) Brown, DeMall James Reeves, Rhiannon (Ben) Gardier, Francis Donnelly, Octavia Donnelly, Trevor Donnelly, Joel A. Harris II, and Chantel Harris, Sydney Reeves He is also survived by his sister Mary Lindsey of Washington, DC; and his life-long friend Lonnie Carothers (Alb). Donald leaves behind to celebrate his life a host of family, and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 1, 2010 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity A.M.E. Church in Mesa, AZ.
