KAUFMAN -- Jewel Hempel Kaufman, 99, died January 11, 2010. Jewel was preceded in death by her husband Edward Kaufman, sister Beth and her mother Dr. Elizabeth Hempel of St. Louis, Missouri and her first husband Verne C. Miller. She is survived by her loving grandchildren, Robert Reidy and wife Kathleen, Richard Reidy and wife Dianne, Lois Richardson, Bruce Williamson and wife AnnaDell, Mike Williamson and wife Mabel , Ann Buck and husband Pat, Mary Frances Edgar and many great- grandchildren, other family and friends. Jewel worked for many years for Rodey Law Firm as office manager and later at Ed Blacks Chevrolet before retiring in 1980. She was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and recognized herself as a member of the body of Christ no matter what their Christian affiliation. Jewel was loved and will be dearly missed for her loving and generous spirit which she shared with everyone she knew and met along her way in life. A memorial service will be Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 4:00 p.m. at French, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
