LOFING -- Marie Schmidt Lofing, 92, a resident of Albuquerque since 1981 was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 5, 2010. She was born on July 19, 1917 in Billings, Montana where she met her husband, the late Alexander Lofing. Surviving are her children, Alex R. Lofing and wife, Muriel of Roseburg, OR, Timothy A. Lofing and wife, JoAnne of Anaconda, MT and Connie Bartels and husband, Leon of Albuquerque; daughter-in-law, Deborah J. Lofing of Tucson; eight grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; brothers, Ted and Rudy Schmidt; and sisters, Clara Wittmer and Ruth Pope. Marie was preceded in death by her husband and sons, Roger and Richard. Marie was a lifetime member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. A Graveside Service will be held in Marie's honor on Friday, January 8, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE, with the Rev. Randy Walquist officiating.
