SANDOVAL -- Leonella Sandoval passed away Monday, January 4, 2010 in Albuquerque at the age of 87. She will be remembered as a wonderful aunt who raised many nieces and nephews. She also loved her animals. Mrs. Sandoval retired from the District Attorney's Office. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry R. Sandoval; parents, Faustino and Placida Gutierrez; daughter, Patricia; nephew, Robert G. Trujillo Sr.; and great-nephew, Robert Trujillo Jr. She is survived by her great-nephew Joseph Trujillo and wife, Cathy; great-grandnephew, Joseph Trujillo Jr.; many nieces and nephews; and her very dear and loyal friend, Libby Martinez. Funeral Services for Mrs. Sandoval will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at San Jose Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Louis Ray, Morris Vaisa, Joe Baca, Marvin Gutierrez, Henry Felix and Michael Martinez. Honorary pallbearer will be Steve Gutierrez.
