JESTER -- Clifford Jester of Albuquerque, New Mexico departed this life peacefully on Monday, December 28, 2009, at the age of 87 in a Virginia hospital following a short illness. He is survived by two adoring sisters, Margaret Jester Webster and Carmella Jester Bobbitt (Jean); two nieces, Diann B. James and Glenda B. Porter; two great-nieces, Lisa D. Woods and Keanna Porter; and three great-grandnephews, Aaron Dudley, Brandon Smiley, and Devin Woods. On Friday, January 8, 2010 the family will receive friends at the Jerusalem Baptist Church, 718 Tidewater Drive, Norfolk, VA 23504 from 10:00 a.m. until an ecumenical home going service at 12:00 noon. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hale Funeral Home. Born in Maryland and raised in Norfolk, Clifford lived in Long Beach, California, Santa Rosa and Albuquerque, New Mexico respectively for the last 40 years of his life. In Albuquerque he will be deeply missed by his church family, neighbors, friends, and business associates to include the Rev. Arkad Biczak and Father Charles Doughtery of John XXIII Catholic Community, Franklin and Betty Martin, Eddie and Vera Mims, Rose Hansen, Ray Carrejo, Lovie McGee and their respective families. As a WWII Purple Heart recipient, Clifford will be given full military honors.
