BYRD -- Michael E. Byrd, 1958-2010 Beloved son, brother, father, and brother-in-law passed away January 1, 2010, in Lampasas, Texas, after losing his battle with cancer. He is survived by his mother, Kathleen; sister, Diane and her husband Donald Lacen; children, Melody and Shawn Byrd; stepdaughter, Kaylee Miller; love of his life, Carol Byrd; friend Carol McNiel and family of Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. He graduated from Eldorado High School where he was active in band. Mike's passion was playing the drums and for many years he was a drummer in the band Off the Wall.
