VELASQUEZ -- Joe Arthur Velasquez, 21, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on December 29, 2009. Joe is survived by his parents, Tony and Theresa Velasquez; his daughters, Serenity Velasquez, and Emilie Coon-Velasquez; two sisters, Michelle Velasquez, and Desiree Castro and husband, Robert; grandmother, Margaret Velasquez; grandfather, Seledon Lopez; nephews, David Sainz and Anthony Castro; nieces, Brianna Sainz and Jaynessa Castro; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Joe was preceded in death by his grandmother, Priscilla Lopez; and grandfather, Tony Velasquez Sr. Visitation will be Sunday, January 3, 2010 from 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Monday, January 4, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd. SW, with a Communion Service at 9:00 a.m., Deacon Tibo Chavez, presider. Interment will follow at Fairview Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Castro, Christopher Lopez, Mark Lopez, Pete A. Juarez Jr., Seledon Sanchez, and Wade Lopez. Honorary pallbearers will be Levy Lopez, Marcelo Lopez, Patricia Sena, Louie Lopez, John Cordova, Ernie Lucero, Carlos Gonzalez, Silver Gonzalez, Gabriella Adams, Dora Lucero, Tanya Lucero, and Antoinette Juarz..
