RAVER -- Katharine Raver, 59, a resident of Tijeras, NM and a lifetime resident of NM, died Wednesday November 25, 2009. She is survived by her husband, Lin Miller and two brothers, Edward Lee Raver of Tijeras, NM and Donald Gordon Raver of Keller, TX. Kathi was a graduate of UNM and a loyal Lobos fan. Kathi was also an outdoor woman with many interests. She loved NM for it's beauty and it's wildlife and for many years she summered in Alaska at a gold mining camp where her love for nature blossomed. She was also an accomplished scuba diver. Kathi was an active and passionate member of the square dance community. She enjoyed traveling to square dance festivals all over the Southwest and she served on various boards and held many offices during her years in square dancing. She chaired a local annual square dance event for many years and was an active member of another Albuquerque festival committee. In lieu of flowers, Kathi requested that donations be made to a Cancer research fund of your choice. There will be a Memorial Service for Kathi on Thursday December 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, followed by a reception at the home of Doris Ross at 6616 Avenida La Costa NE.
