LINK -- Gordon Russell Link, "Rusty" age 64, passed away on November 24, 2009 in Albuquerque, NM. He was a native New Mexican who lived most of his life in Fence Lake, NM. Gordon served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for the New Mexico Highway Department for 25 years and managed the Link cattle operation in Fence Lake for many years. Gordon is survived by his daughter, Meredith Elaine Niemeyer of Farmington, NM; his mother, Ruth B. Link of Spicewood, TX; two brothers, Bob Link and wife, Pam of Spicewood, TX and Lynn Link of Albuquerque, NM; also three nephews, Casey Link of Albuquerque, NM John and Jeff Link of Austin, TX; and one niece, Audrey Archer of Austin, TX; a very special cousin Kathleen Gibson of Fence Lake, NM. Rusty is preceded in death by his father, Wilson Link and one sister, Doris Jane Link. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2009, 11:00 a.m., at the Fence Lake Community Church, Fence Lake, NM. Burial to follow at the Fence Lake Cemetery.
