TEEL-RABIDEAU -- Marie Teel-Rabideau passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, November 15, 2009. She had a long and fulfilling life. Marie was born in Bixby, Oklahoma, the only child of Edgar and Mattie McClain. She spent about a year of her youth living in a homestead dugout near Campo, Colorado. After marrying, she came to live in Albuquerque in 1950. She raised her two children, Mary Jane and William Teel, by working as a self-employed seamstress. Marie recently commented that she had lived through the Great Depression and two World Wars, and that her life was full of trying but happy times, due in large part to her strong faith in God. Marie loved to sew, walk, garden and birdwatch. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jane McCamey, and husband, Ray; granddaughter, Lori McCamey Bencoe, and husband Dave; great-grandson, Troy; son, William Teel and wife, Tanya Scott; and granddaughter, Lindsey Teel. She is also survived by her life-long friend and neighbor, Winifred Sheldon. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Rabideau. Until she became housebound, Marie was an active member of St. Stephen's and later Covenant Methodist Church. The family wishes to thank Vista Care Hospice, especially Caregivers LeeRoy, Molly, Padrig, Eric and Sarah. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, November 21, 2009, 10:00 a.m., at Covenant Methodist Church, 8510 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Pastor Lyle Reece officiating. Cremation and private family interment will follow at a later date. Please visit our online guestbook for Marie at www.RememberTheirStory.com. French 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE (505) 843-6333
