MYERS -- William M. Myers passed away peacefully on October 12, 2009. He was born and attended schools in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Immediately after graduation from high school, he joined the Air Force and was trained as a bombardier. After World War II, he enrolled and graduated from Ursinus College with a B.S. in Chemistry. He was employed by the Atomic Energy Commission and entered the University of Pennsylvania to complete additional courses in chemistry and spectroscopy. In l950, Bill married his college sweetheart, Betty Lou Harr. They have four children; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. In l963, Bill accepted a position at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and immediately moved his family across the country to New Mexico. He loved all sports and spent many years coaching. Many enjoyable hours were also spent watching his children and grandchildren participate in various sports. Bill requested, in lieu of a memoral service, that you remember his family. He had a full life filled with wonderful memories. The family would like to invite friends to their home on Saturday, October 17, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. to celebrate his life.
